Details about the first few DPC tournaments for 2019-20 are slowly unravelling and we have one event in North America and China each.
The First Dota 2 Minor will take place in North America, while the accompanying Dota 2 Major will take place in China. The common regional qualifiers for the Minor and the Major start on October 5, 2019.
Dota Summit 11 is the first Dota 2 Minor
Beyond The Summit will host their first ever event with a live audience with the Dota Summit 11. The Dota Summit 11 will take place from November 7-10 and feature a prize pool of $300,000.
According to David “LD” Gorman, it is the only North American Dota 2 event for the upcoming season. In the past few years, Dota 2 events have slowly moved out of North America.

MDL Chengdu is the first Dota 2 Major for 2019-20
Mars Media will host the first Dota 2 Major for the new season. The tournament organizer has experience hosting several Dota 2 events in the past such as MDL Disneyland, Changsha Major(2018) and MDL Macau (2017).

The First Dota 2 Major of the new season takes place from November 16-24, 2019
What is the Prize Pool?
MDL Chengdu has a prize pool of $1,000,000 and will also award 15,000 DPC points. These DPC points contribute to a team’s chances to qualify for the Stockholm International in August 2020.
The registration for the regional qualifiers ends on September 28. MDL will announce the teams invited to the regional qualifiers shortly after.
