WePlay! Bukovel Dota 2 Minor 2020: Guide and Information

WePlay! will host the second Dota 2 Minor of the Dota Pro Circuit 2019-20. The WePlay! Bukovel Dota 2 Minor will take place in January 2020 and feature a prize pool of $300,000.


WePlay! has successfully hosted third-party Dota 2 LAN events featuring some of the best Tier two teams. This is their first involvement in the Dota Pro Circuit. 


WePlay! Will prepare folk costumes, enhance the knowledge of local folklore and are usually at the forefront in presenting a unique production at Dota 2 events.

What is the Format for WePlay! Bukovel Minor?

Group Stage

  • GSL System
  • Two Groups of Four teams each
  • Double Elimination Format 
  • Top Two teams proceed to Playoffs
  • The Bottom Two teams in each Group face elimination


  • Double Elimination Format
  • All matches (except Finals) is a Best of Three series. 
  • The Grand Finals is a Best of Five series

This is the First Dota 2 Minor for WePlay!

What is the Prize Pool for the WePlay! Bukovel Minor?

Just like other Dota 2 minors, WePlay! Bukovel will feature a prize pool of $300,000. 

Here is the Prize Distribution for the event:

  • 1st place: $72,000, 140 DPC points + Major slot
  • 2nd place: $60,000, 120 DPC points
  • 3rd place: $54,000, 110 DPC points
  • 4th place: $42,000, 90 DPC points
  • 5-6th places: $24,000, 60 DPC points
  • 7-8th places: $12,000, 40 DPC points

What are the important qualifier dates and schedule?


Eight teams from six regions: North and South America, CIS, Europe, Southeast Asia, and China. Valve will announce the exact distribution of additional slots later.


  • Qualifiers: December 5-6, 2019.
  • Main Stage: January 9-12, 2020.
