Valve has revealed the dates for The International 2020 allowing players and fans to plan their schedules in advance. ONE Esports has also revealed that they will host the final Dota 2 Major of the season in Singapore.

Dota 2 fans can plan their schedule for TI10 in advance as the game developer has announced the dates for next year’s International event. For fans who cannot travel to Sweden for TI10, Singapore could be a viable location as it will play host to the final Dota 2 Major of the Season, ONE Esports Singapore.

When Is The International 2020?

The International 2020 will take place from August 18-23rd, although it will most likely feature several weeks of group stage matches and qualifiers before these dates.

The International is the pinnacle of the Dota 2 esports calendar, featuring the best Dota 2 teams in action. Notorious for featuring the biggest prize pool in esports, the International usually takes place at the same time every year. However, a confirmation by Valve about the specific dates can work to the fans and players’ advantage, especially since they can plan their schedules ahead of time.

When Will the Singapore Major Take Place?

Tournament organizer ONE esports has also revealed that they will host the final Dota 2 Major of the current DPC Season. ONE Esports Singapore Major will take place at the same venue as the ongoing ONE Esports World Pro Invitational 2019.

The ONE Esports Dota 2 Major will be the fifth and final DPC Major of the current year. It will be the final opportunity for many Dota 2 teams aspiring to secure a place at TI10.

The ONE Esports Dota 2 Major will have a prize pool of $1 million and feature 15,000 DPC points. It will be the final event before TI10, which takes place in Stockholm in August.

The release of 7.23 added several new features and mechanics to Dota 2. Players now have to capture outposts to secure map advantage and can also collect neutral items. These netural items can change the course of a game, due to the RNG element in their drop. Valve has released multiple patch updates to provide a balance to the game, after the initial chaos due to the 7.23 update.

The WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 will feature some of the best teams in action, and the competition will be the first official one on the latest 7.23 update.
