Introduction

After an entire year full of amazing tournaments, the DPC season is slowly coming to an end. The StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 is going to be the last Minor for this DPC season. Besides the amazing $300,000 prize pool, this Minor will also provide two slots for the EPICENTER Major. This makes the event very important for some teams because it might be their last chance to get the priceless DPC points which are needed in order to qualify for the biggest event in Dota 2 – The International 2019.

About the event

This Minor will take place in Kiev, Ukraine from the 12th to the 16th of June. Eight of the best teams in the world from all Dota 2 regions will have to fight for that amazing prize pool as well as the DPC points. If you wish to visit the tournament, you have to go to the Cybersports Arena and purchase your ticket there.

The big tournaments are an essential part of betting. That’s because they usually provide better odds. What’s more, the participating teams are also somewhat more recognizable.  Here are our top picks for this Minor which could potentially earn you a decent amount of money.

Teams

Ninjas in Pyjamas

NiP is hands down the best team in this tournament, if we take into consideration their most recent results. In fact, the European powerhouse has shown one of the best gradations out of all teams, which is a very key factor. Probably one of the main reasons behind it is PPD and his amazing drafts.

It’s important to remember that NiP was able to win the last Minor – OGA Dota Pit Minor, which took place just a couple of months ago. What’s more, they are one of the teams which have already secured their spot for TI 9. This will definitely “release” them from this pressure, which should also translate into better performance and thus, a bigger chance of winning you some cash.

EHOME

The second strongest team in our opinion is the Chinese powerhouse EHOME. Unlike NiP though, Ferrari and Co. have to finish top two here if they want to have a chance at a direct invite for TI 9. This definitely makes their situation a little bit more complicated. However, their lust for points should also translate into overall better performance. That’s due to the fact that they will have the needed motivation to win, which is an essential part of succeeding.

EHOME is one of those teams that is always capable of exploding at any given time. This makes them a very dangerous opponent but a somewhat unstable choice of betting sometimes. That’s why our advice would be to check their first few games and decide for yourself whether this is the team for you.

Complexity Gaming

The last team on our list is also the only North American representative at this Minor. That’s due to the fact that the slots for the region got reduced by one after the community backlash.

Similar to NiP, CoL has been slowly but steadily improving as a team and their most recent results can definitely confirm this. Despite that, they are still miles away from their previous glory.

In terms of qualifying for TI 9, they are in a similar state to EHOME. Winning here and also getting a good placement at the EPICENTER Major is a must for them if they want to attend the tournament.

I think its either going to be NIP, Ehome or ( strange as it seems) Alliance to win the Minor
